Tipalti is seeking a talented and driven Mid‑Senior Mobile Engineer with expertise in React Native to join our dynamic engineering team in London. You'll be a collaborative problem‑solver who plays a crucial role in developing and enhancing our high‑quality, scalable mobile applications that enable finance teams worldwide to automate their global payables operations. We believe in a hybrid work model that balances collaboration and flexibility. This role requires 3 days a week in our London office (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) to foster strong team bonds and accelerate technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy features for our cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness on both iOS and Android.
- Act as a technical owner for key mobile features, driving best practices, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to translate business requirements and user stories into elegant and efficient mobile solutions.
- Maintain high standards for code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CI) practices.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure the overall health and stability of the mobile application.
- Stay current with new mobile development trends and technologies, proposing improvements and innovative solutions to enhance the platform.
Required Skills & Experience
- Mid‑Senior level experience (typically 3+ years for mid‑level, 5+ for senior) in professional software development, with a significant focus on mobile applications.
- Deep expertise in developing, releasing, and maintaining complex applications using React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of the mobile application lifecycle, including deployment to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, UI/UX principles, and performance optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively within a cross‑functional Agile team environment.
- Experience with mobile state‑management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, MobX) and building scalable, maintainable mobile architectures.
- Fintech/SaaS experience is a significant advantage.
