We’re hiring a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to help build a brand-new product that will transform how finance teams operate. This isn’t incremental feature work—you’ll be helping to eliminate deeply manual processes and replace them with intuitive, scalable backend systems used by 6,000+ businesses worldwide. If you’re motivated by ownership, real customer impact, and solving complex backend challenges at scale, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for a new product
  • Develop scalable microservices handling high-volume financial data and workflows
  • Own data modelling, persistence strategies, and service boundaries
  • Improve system performance, observability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to define clear API contracts
  • Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable backend code
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to backend best practices
  • Help evolve our backend architecture as we scale

Qualifications
