We’re TIP Group – a proud Great Place to Work® – and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of workshop performance, keep trailers on the road, and lead a team that takes real pride in doing the job right.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing workshop operations, including loading, repair prioritisation, systems, and processes to meet customer and business demands.
  • Working closely with a supportive, hands-on team to maintain safe, efficient, and high-performing workshop practices.
  • Keeping our customers’ fleets road-ready by minimising truck & trailer downtime and identifying the most economical repair solutions.
  • Ensuring all inspections, services, and repairs meet company standards and comply with all EHS and mandatory legislation.
  • Analysing maintenance trends, managing staffing and overtime, and highlighting performance and commercial opportunities to management.

What You’ll Bring

  • Time-served technician background or City & Guilds Level 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) with solid trailer & truck repair experience.
  • Previous workshop or team management experience (highly advantageous).
  • Strong organisation, admin, and IT skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • A confident communicator who can challenge, question, and work autonomously.
  • A proactive mindset and a sense of ownership in your work.
  • A good sense of humour – we work hard, but we like a laugh too.
