Salary: Competitive
Purpose
To move trailers safely around the yard to the required destinations. You will also maintain and repair the Heavy Goods trailers of the TIP rental fleet, and its customers\’ trailers, at TIP workshops.
Responsibilities
- Present TIP assets for MOT testing at an onsite ATF lane
- Conduct brake testing voluntarily
- Load weight for MOT preparation
- Perform yard and workshop shunting
- Liaise with DVSA personnel and third parties at the ATF lane
- Operate forklift and telehandler
- Perform general yard duties including cleaning, painting, and repairs
- Assist with small trailer repairs
- Clean trailers and perform MOT steam cleaning
- Ensure compliance details are accurately completed
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and policies
- Undertake necessary training
- Provide high customer service and demonstrate company values
- Identify potential business opportunities
- Work shifts, including weekends
Qualifications/Requirements
- HGV Class 1 license
- Forklift license (desirable)
- Enthusiasm and good communication skills
- Basic computer skills and documentation ability
