We’re TIP Group – a proud Great Place to Work® – and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Driver & Yard Operative to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Presenting TIP assets for MOT testing on the on-site ATF lane, ensuring vehicles are ready and compliant.
- Carrying out voluntary brake testing and preparing trailers for MOT, including loading weights and steam cleaning.
- Performing yard and workshop shunting safely and efficiently.
- Liaising with DVSA personnel and third parties on the ATF lane to support smooth operations.
- Operating forklifts where required (loading, moving, and organising equipment and assets).
- Supporting general yard duties including cleaning, painting, minor repairs, trailer cleaning and MOT steam cleaning.
- Completing all compliance documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensuring all company vehicles are operated in line with road traffic laws and company policies at all times.
- Collecting and delivering trailers to and from customer premises, ensuring safe, timely, and professional service at all times.
- Undertaking required training to maintain skills, compliance, and safety standards.
- Delivering excellent customer service and consistently demonstrating company values.
- Identifying and highlighting potential commercial opportunities to management.
- Working closely with a supportive team that’s hands-on, always there when you need them.
- Keeping our customers’ fleets road-ready and safe for the long haul.
