Are you an experienced control systems engineer with strong DCS, PLC and process automation expertise?
Tioxide is seeking a DCS & Process Automation Engineer to support safe, reliable and compliant control systems at our Greatham site.You will combine system maintenance and breakdown support with the design,testing and commissioning of automation changes.Working within Site Engineering, you will collaborate with operations, technicaland project teams and third - party developers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing change control, approvals and documentation
- Delivering maintenance and reliability improvements
- Assessing DCS, PLC and process - control changes
- Designing and testing changes before go -live
- Testing upgrades for compatibility and performance
- Co - ordinating change control and accurate records
- Delivering the control -system improvement plans
Experience and Qualifications:
You will have a relevant engineering or process - control degree, or equivalent vocational qualification, plus:
- 10+ years' control -systems experience
- Strong DCS programming and PLC automation skills
- 24/7 chemical or manufacturing experience
- Design, testing and commissioning experience
- Firewall, network and programming knowledge
- Strong change -control and testing discipline
- Effective multidisciplinary teamwork
- MOD300 and/or DeltaV DCS systems
- DCS replacement or migration programmes
- FEED and third - party software development
- High - hazard or Upper Tier COMAH operations
- Sequences, alarms and improvement plans
- Out- of- hours control -system support
We offer a Workplace Pension Scheme via Legal & General, there is a 4% minimum employee contribution, the company will match your own contributions up to a maximum of 8%. We also allow employee Additional Voluntary Contributions to help you save for the future.
