Who we are and what we do
We’re The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO), and our purpose is to connect and empower our community of Orthodontic Practices around the globe to help them grow - both commercially and cognitively - and keep them operating ahead of the curve.
We do this by combining our specialisms in marketing and in-practice consultancy to grow lead generation and conversion for our Members, while facilitating a community of clinical excellence and innovation with our leading orthodontic doctors. Our team is spread across the globe and we thrive on a culture of flexibility, innovation and development.
About the role
The Practice Consultant is an integral part of our Customer Promise Team and the customer-facing owner of a portfolio of Member practices across the South of the UK & Ireland. This is a genuinely commercial role: you’ll act as a business advisor to each practice - using data to understand their performance, coaching their teams to grow, and driving measurable improvement in case starts, return on investment and the adoption of TIO’s growth strategies.
You’ll build trusted, long-term relationships with practice owners and their teams, run monthly reviews over Zoom and in person, train teams on the TIO program and our Practice Relationship Management (PRM) system, and own the growth, performance and retention of your patch. We have a suite of proven TIO practice-growth strategies to help you - your job is to bring them to life in each practice.
Ideally, you'll have experience within an orthodontic or dental practice setting, which will help you coach the practices you manage on optimising their lead conversion techniques.
We’re a progressive, industry-leading brand and we look for people who share that mindset - always improving, always innovating, and increasingly making smart use of digital and AI tools to work better.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the growth, performance and retention of your Member portfolio across the South of the UK and Ireland patch.
- Using PRM and practice data to diagnose performance, spot opportunities and prioritise where to focus.
- Building and delivering a practical growth plan for each practice, in partnership with the owner and your Digital Strategist.
- Running monthly performance reviews over Zoom, and visiting practices in person across your patch.
- Training and coaching practice teams - from front-of-house and Treatment Coordinators to principal orthodontists - on the TIO program, the PRM system and the patient journey.
- Identifying and converting growth opportunities, including adoption of TIO’s value-added products and services.
- Protecting retention by demonstrating tangible value and being the trusted, responsive point of contact.
- Collaborating with the wider Customer Promise team and engaging with our international TIO community.
Who we’re looking for
You’re commercially minded, great with people and comfortable with data. You’ll likely have a background in account management, customer success or B2B sales - ideally with experience of helping small businesses grow.
Experience in the dental or orthodontic world (for example as a Treatment Coordinator, Practice Manager or dental sales representative) is a real advantage.
You’ll also bring:
- A track record of owning targets or KPIs and driving results.
- Confidence with data - turning performance numbers into clear, practical actions.
- The ability to influence, coach and train people at all levels, and communicate with warmth and credibility.
- An understanding of what makes a small business tick commercially.
- Strong organisation, self-motivation and the discipline to thrive working remotely.
- Curiosity about digital and AI tools and how they can help a practice (and you) work smarter.
The right to live and work in the UK is required. Visa sponsorship is not being offered for this role.
What’s in it for you
In addition to a competitive salary starting between £35-£38k and a benefits package including pension, wellbeing initiatives, group life assurance, staff retreats and birthday leave, you’ll join an organisation that puts its people front and centre. We’ll work with you to develop your career, provide opportunities for learning and growth, and place a real emphasis on wellbeing.
We’re focused on output, so we can be flexible on working patterns and times - though as a global business there will occasionally be calls outside the traditional working day.
Our people have always worked remotely when not visiting Members, so you can be based anywhere in the southern half of the UK (below Birmingham) , with frequent domestic travel to visit practices.
The right to live and work in the UK is required.
If you like the sound of the role and think we’d be a good fit for each other, we’d love to hear from you.
