Salary: Competitive (based on role & experience) Hours: Full-time (Deputy Manager) | Part-time (Playworkers) Tiny Tots Recruitment is proud to be working with a fantastic setting, a welcoming and well-established nursery and out-of-school club in York, who are looking to expand their team. We’re currently seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager as well as enthusiastic Playworkers to join their supportive, child-centred environment. Deputy Nursery Manager – The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated childcare professional ready to step into a leadership role. As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, mentor staff, and ensure that every child receives the highest standard of care and education. You’ll also cover management responsibilities in the Manager’s absence. Key Responsibilities: Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and team leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop staff across the setting Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS compliance Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies Lead by example, modelling best practice and a positive approach About You: Level 3 (or above) in Early Years qualification Experience as a Room Leader/Senior Practitioner (Deputy experience desirable) Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding Excellent communication and leadership skills Playworkers – The Role This role is ideal for those who are enthusiastic, caring, and love working with children in a fun, play-based environment. As a Playworker, you’ll help plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 3–11, supporting their learning, development, and enjoyment. Key Responsibilities: Support the planning and delivery of fun, safe, and inclusive play activities Act as a key person for a small group of children, keeping parents updated Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, and safety Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues About You: Previous childcare or playwork experience (desirable but not essential) A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable team player Willingness to learn and develop professionally Why Join?
