Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a well-established nursery in Greenwich, rated Good by Ofsted. This role involves supporting the nursery team in the day-to-day running of the room, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5 years to play, learn, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of care, safety, and welfare for all children
- Act as a key person for allocated children, planning, observing, and assessing their development
- Build strong partnerships with parents to support children s learning and progress
- Create an enabling environment with engaging activities tailored to individual needs
- Manage children s behaviour positively and promote independence
- Support mealtimes, personal care, and hygiene routines
- Conduct risk assessments and uphold safeguarding protocols
- Participate in staff meetings, training, parents evenings, and nursery events
What We re Looking For
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and statutory requirements
- Experience working with children aged 2-5 (preferred)
- Valid Paediatric First Aid qualification and safeguarding certificate (preferred)
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
- Creative, enthusiastic, caring, and committed to child development
- Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to learning and growth
