We are seeking a dedicated and experienced level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new nursery in Palmers Green. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early years and childcare with a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, educational activities and ensuring the wellbeing of all children in their care.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote children's development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
- Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns in line with organisational policies.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Manage behaviour appropriately using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
- Lead by example in adhering to health and safety regulations and nursery policies.
- Support the onboarding of new staff or interns as required, demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Assist with organising nursery activities and outings in accordance with organisational standards.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for child development and education.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the nursery schedule.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to making a positive impact on young children's lives through professional childcare practice and leadership within a supportive team environment. The salary is dependant on your qualifications and experience. The role is full time working a maximum of 40 hours per rota Monday-Friday.
