A large focus of Visa’s Product Strategy is to drive tomorrow’s user experience for a digital-powered world. Our set of Digital Solutions sit at the heart of it, both from a deep infrastructure play with capabilities such as token and tokenisation, all the way to the consumer front-end experiences with solutions such as Click to Pay and Visa Payment Passkeys.
Role
- Overall responsibility for GTM strategy, solution management and commercialisation of the ‘Digital Solutions’ portfolio for the UK & Ireland markets, Tokenisation solutions (Token, VDCU), Click to Pay, Authentication and Identity solutions incl. Visa Payment Passkeys, across Visa’s client base and deployment across clients: issuers, fintechs, agents and processors.
- Lead a team of product managers that will act as both the subject matter experts (SMEs) and specialised sales across Visa’s Digital Solutions, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
- Develop a cohesive narrative for today and 2030 that facilitates understanding and adoption of Visa’s Digital Solutions strategy across the Buyers and Seller side of the UK&I ecosystem.
- Drive critical client engagements at both senior and working‑team levels across the sales and commercialisation cycle of the various solutions, and actively manage pipeline of sales opportunities across clients types and against annual P&L targets, and work closely with the sales organisation (VAS, AEs) to drive deals and projects to closure.
- Provide active feedback and requirements, and identify product gaps opportunities based on market trends and forward thinking, into the Regional/Global product roadmaps to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and market ready and continue to innovate to reflect customer and consumers needs.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives, adapt overall programme tactics and strategies to address challenges/issues/opportunities.
- As requirements of this role and key priorities and initiatives evolve, adapt to growing needs of the team and broader Products organisation.
- Actively manage the team, help prioritise activities and opportunities, while providing mentoring and coaching to direct reports and helping identify growth and development opportunities for team members within the team and across the wider Visa organisation.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within financial services, technology, digital commerce, or payments, with a strong track record of successfully commercialising technology‑led solutions and platforms.
- Significant experience in product development and product management across ecommerce, digital and mobile payments, including hands‑on exposure to Click to Pay, tokenisation frameworks, and emerging authentication technologies such as passkeys.
- Deep technical understanding of global and emerging payments technologies, including tokenisation, secure credential storage, authentication methods, and card‑on‑file experiences, with the ability to translate these into scalable product solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to define, build, and execute strong go‑to‑market (GTM) strategies for new and evolving payment products (e.g. Click to Pay, tokenisation, passkeys), including positioning, client value proposition, and commercialisation planning.
- Strong client‑facing experience, with the ability to engage, influence, and advise external partners and clients on complex payment solutions, acting as a trusted advisor across both technical and commercial discussions.
- Solid understanding of EMVCo standards (including Click to Pay), Eurozone regulations and directives, SEPA, IFR, GDPR and PSD2.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts (e.g. tokenisation flows, authentication protocols, API integrations) to both technical and non‑technical audiences, internally and externally.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and build credibility with stakeholders across product, engineering, commercial, and regional teams.
- Strong ability to bridge commercial strategy and deep technical understanding, ensuring product solutions are both technically sound and commercially viable.
- Proven ability to manage a complex and varied workload, supporting multiple product development initiatives, solution rollouts, and client implementations simultaneously.
- Advanced planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive outcomes; experience applying Design Thinking principles is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, including RESTful APIs, and payments technologies such as NFC, secure elements, contactless payments, remote/online payments, and in‑app payments.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
