About Visa & Tink
Visa is a world leader in digital payments, facilitating transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and government entities across more than 200 countries and territories. Tink, a Visa solution, is Europe's leading open banking platform, enabling banks, fintechs, and merchants to build smarter financial services through account aggregation, payment initiation, data enrichment, and risk insights. The Tink Payments & Platform team drives the commercialisation of Tink's open banking products across the UK&I market — partnering with some of the most innovative banks, fintechs, merchants, and PSPs in the region.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Sales Executive to join our high-performing UK&I Sales team. This is a client-facing, revenue-generating role focused on managing and growing a portfolio of strategic accounts within the Tink Payments & Platform business. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation, close, and ongoing account growth — with a particular focus on Pay by Bank, Variable Recurring Payments (VRP), and Data products.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Generation
- Own and deliver against an annual sales quota of $1M–$2M+
- Manage the full end-to-end sales cycle for new logo and existing accounts
- Build and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and partnership with marketing/SDR teams
- Lead complex commercial negotiations involving multi-stakeholder buying committees
- Account Management & Growth
- Develop deep, trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers at banks, fintechs, merchants, and PSPs
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the Tink product suite
- Partner with Solution Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Strategic Market Development
- Represent Tink at industry events, conferences, and client forums in the UK&I market
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to Product and Marketing teams
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy for new Tink product launches in the region
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Visa's wider UK&I sales teams to identify joint opportunities
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to navigate complex deal structures
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline data in Salesforce / Visa CRM systems
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Experience
- B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years selling complex SaaS, payments, or fintech solutions
- Proven track record of consistently meeting/exceeding multi-million-dollar sales quotas
- Demonstrated experience selling into banks, fintechs, merchants, or PSPs in the UK&I market
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles (6–12+ months) with multiple stakeholders
- Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of Open Banking, Account-to-Account (A2A) payments, Pay by Bank, or Variable Recurring Payments (VRP)
- Familiarity with the UK regulatory landscape (FCA, PSD2, Open Banking Implementation Entity)
- Knowledge of the broader payments ecosystem — card schemes, acquirers, PSPs, and alternative payment methods
- Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional consultative selling and discovery skills
- Strong commercial acumen — able to structure complex multi-year deals
- Excellent communication and executive presence — comfortable presenting to C-level audiences
- Highly self-motivated, with a hunter mindset balanced with strong account management discipline
- Proficient in Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern sales productivity tools
- Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of senior contacts within UK&I banks, fintechs, or merchant ecosystem
- Experience selling APIs / platform-based products to technical buyers.
- Previous experience working in a matrixed, global organisation
