The Research Analyst, Strategic Regulatory Expansion, will play a key role in the development of a small but growing research and insights function. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Regulatory Expansion, the successful candidate will contribute to Visa’s global license and network expansion ambitions, with a strong focus on real‑time payments systems and cross‑border payment flows.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the team's internal research capabilities, centralising our knowledge and insight support. You will undertake targeted desk research and analysis of the global payments and regulatory environment to assist internal teams in assessing opportunities and requirements for ongoing market expansion. Candidates will work on developing a repository of key data points and content assets as well as providing tailored research activities to support internal requests across the business.

Through your contribution, you will help support decision making to accelerate growth and revenue for Visa Direct.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role Will Include:
- Contribute to the development of on‑going and ad‑hoc research projects, including scoping research proposals relating to growth projects, gathering and analysing data, and delivery of research to agreed targets.
- Analyse and provide clarity on payments system rules to identify market expansion opportunity and challenges, as well as supporting crucial go‑live activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for Visa Direct Product, Operations, Technology and Treasury to assist with research support, particularly in relation to global payment scheme analysis.
- Contribute to the development of key research assets, including competitor profiles and a regular market intelligence newsletter.
- Monitor and analyse market and competitor developments to identify trends, threats and opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the creation of a central repository/database of market and regulatory information to support on‑going strategic development and market expansion initiatives.
- Assist on the Strategic Initiatives horizon scanning forum detailing key regulatory and market updates which are key for expansion decision making.
- Assist in project management of Regulatory and Market Examinations for growth projects.
- Establish yourself as an important subject‑matter expert.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
