Job Description

What’s it all about - Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA’s core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments. VCA UK&I is looking for a Director to join the leadership team within Client Consulting to manage a team of consultants and contribute to the overall business development.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactively engage with consulting and client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.
  • Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, innovation) to implement projects in ways that maximize the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
  • Participate in the sales process to qualify opportunities and, using a consultative approach, guide clients to the correct engagement type to address their needs.
  • Develop engagement pitches, draft proposals and in coordination with account executives secure new consulting assignments with clients.
  • Deliver consulting engagements, including managing the team of consultants, resolving complex strategic problems, synthesizing recommendations, preparing and delivering client presentations, managing complex project structures.
  • Manage various systems of record for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Develop and deliver client-ready presentations in collaboration with junior and senior resources on the team.
  • Lead advisory initiatives and be the main source of strategic insight and direction to the team.
  • Use data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What we’re after:

  • Consulting experience gained within either a consulting firm, or an in-house strategy function of a financial institution.
  • Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and Visa.
  • Communicate effectively – through empathy and active listening, the ideal candidate will be skilled at understanding his or her audience and able to structure a compelling argument accordingly, skilled at using PowerPoint, data visualization, and pyramid-principle storytelling to help clients make the best, fact-based decisions for their business.
  • Highly collaborative nature with experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Customize recommendations for clients and integrate Visa/Visa as a Service (VAS) synergies.
  • Connect data streams to create clear narratives, guide development of storyboards, templates, and visuals.
  • Draft proposals, lead pitches, and collaborate with partners.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
