Job Description

Billing Operations is responsible for managing the various billing related systems and ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Another key deliverable is to identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and/or reduce errors in the various billing processes.

What a Financial Analyst does at Visa:

  • This role is responsible for all aspects of the clients billing and accounting activities, ensuring timeliness, accuracy of inputs/outputs relating to member billing activities.
  • This hands-on role requires good accounting background, data management/queries skills (e.g. Microsoft Power Query), and take a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Own segments of gross revenue accounting, billing and collection processes. This includes preparation of information required for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes such as preparing manual entries and journals, BS reconciliation, BS flux and subsequent event reporting.
  • Manages the manual monthly billing operations by working with Product and Service owners to ensure billing files are accurate, timely and complete.
  • Perform ongoing reviews of billing process and controls to mitigate the risks of potential billing errors.
  • Contribute to continuous enhancements to increase value add and process simplifications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships across a broad base of stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for Billing Ops issues.
  • Analyze newly executed contracts to assess appropriate billing and accounting implications.
  • Perform setup in the Billing system and all its related databases.
  • Respond to billing related inquiries, data requests and issues resolutions.
  • Support the wider Revenue Ops team as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects, as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, auditing or related quantitative field.
  • Strong data management skills to develop macros, queries and process automation to enhance the efficiency, accuracy and analysis of manual billings.
  • Strong systems knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, Power BI, etc.). Prior experience with Oracle Financials, ORMB or other billing systems is a plus.
  • Challenge the status quo, be curious and bold to advocate for changes that bring value and eliminate manual tasks.
  • Data analysis skills and an aptitude for understanding, interpretation and investigation.
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, motivated, adaptable and flexible.
  • Ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.
