Visa’s Advisory Finance Business Partners team provides financial analysis and decision support to the Consulting and Marketing Services business divisions, and the Value In Kind team. As a finance business partner, you will deliver critical financial planning, analysis, and commercial insights to support the VAS leadership team in driving business forward.

Key Accountabilities

  • Run and continuously improve the core financial and MI processes underpinning the Advisory function, ensuring they operate efficiently, consistently, and at scale while maintaining high standards of data quality, governance, and control.
  • Drive process optimisation and automation using new technologies and advanced analytics, including Power BI, improved data models, and workflow automation to simplify processes and accelerate decision‑support.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities – enhanced financial and business reporting, P&L generation, monthly performance reviews, pricing and margin analysis, long‑term growth forecasting, and robust business case development.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Advisory business levers, recommending actions to improve financial performance and margins and identifying financial risks, opportunities, and investment trade‑offs.
  • Act as a key contributor to VIK oversight for Advisory, supporting VIK inventory monitoring, risk reduction, consumption optimisation, and strategic use of VIK.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of financial processes and management information.

Business Partnering / Project Management

  • Analyse VIK and Advisory results, financial projections, and drive functional revenue – ensuring the financial position is accurately understood, interpreted, and communicated.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand product and service pipelines, evaluate VIK penetration, pricing, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop deep understanding of the Advisory function, other funding sources, and tracking methodologies across the value chain.
  • Provide decision support on key investment proposals and strategic initiatives through complex analysis, business‑case modelling, and forecasting.
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across European markets and the Global Products team.
  • Demonstrate advanced interpersonal and leadership skills, influencing and leading stakeholders.

Planning, Analysis & Insights

  • Deliver the Advisory Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and ad‑hoc strategic financial planning exercises, including what‑if scenario analysis for multi‑year revenue and expense challenges.
  • Leverage data and business expertise to deep‑dive into key performance drivers, providing new insights that influence strategy.
  • Offer insightful commentary on business results to senior management, helping them run the business effectively.
  • Coordinate and consolidate input from cluster teams and functional leads (Marketing, Advisory, VAS) and global finance to build an overall view of products and solutions finances.
  • Communicate compelling messages to senior executives and external partners, shaping the VIK agenda across stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical, data, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proven experience using Power BI for end‑to‑end financial processes: reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong commercial analytical insights in a business environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trusted business‑partnering relationships.
  • Strong written and oral communication, able to tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Self‑starter with the capacity to work independently in a complex, commercially oriented environment.
  • Team‑oriented, collaborative, and resourceful, thriving in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in payments and banking industry preferred.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position. Days in office will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
