Toddler Room Leader, TN1, 40 hours per week, £26,500 annually

A lovely setting in TN1 are looking for a toddler room leader to join their team.

  • Duties:

  • Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
  • Support children\’s learning and development through play
  • Be a \’key person\’ to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
  • Monitor children\’s progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
  • Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
  • Enable children to become more independent
  • Lead the room ensuring staff are awre of their roles throughout the day
  • Planning fun and stimulating activities that reflect and support children\’s individual learning experiences and next steps.
  • The lead practitioner is responsible for delegating the team, arranging room meetings carrying out room/ team observations and feeding back, planning the environment of the room and monitoring impact, implementing new ideas to support best practice.
  • Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 in childcare
  • Minimum of 1 year in a nursery setting
  • Good knowledge of EYFS
