Job description
We\’re looking for a Teaching Assistant with excellent EYFS knowledge and experience of caring for children aged 2 to 5 years to join the team in the early years provision in a school in Prudhoe.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have good experience caring for children at similar ages. This could be through placements in studies, working in nursery or preschool, nannying or other similar roles. Ideally the candidate should have a full and relevant qualification for working with early years children, although this is not essential if occupational competency is demonstrated on your CV. They will be fun loving and professional, with an excellent attitude to making every day a quality experience for the children at the school. They will understand how to link the EYFS framework into both everyday spontaneous and planned experiences for children, and understand the value of learning through play. They will be able to use their own initiative, as well be an excellent team player to work in harmony with the class teacher and other staff in school.
Start date: The role is due to be from April until July 2024, with potential to extend.
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (32.5hr per week)
Days: Monday to Friday, term time only.
Pay: up to £80.15 – £81.71 per day gross, including holiday entitlement paid, depending on qualification.
