The predicted salary is between 40000 - 60000 £ per year.

Starting salary range: £40,000 to £60,000 p.a. basic DOE, plus attractive bonus scheme, rewards and growth incentives.

To meet Scottish Care Inspectorate standards, you must hold one of the required qualifications listed below. Previous career experience within early years and childcare is also ESSENTIAL.

The opportunity

This is an exciting senior leadership role for an ambitious, commercially minded, and entrepreneurial individual to build, lead, and grow Tinies’ Scottish operation. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing our footprint across Scotland, building a high-performing team of passionate and driven recruiters, and expanding our reach across the full spectrum of early years and childcare settings in both domestic and corporate markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building momentum, spotting opportunity, leading people and shaping growth within a well-established national brand.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and grow Tinies’ operations across Scotland as part of our national recruitment network – working closely with head office colleagues
  • Quickly build, develop and inspire a team of passionate and driven Scottish recruiters – you will plan and lead the structure of this team
  • Drive commercial growth across all areas of our Scottish business – including flexible, temporary, back-up and permanent placements
  • Build and strengthen Tinies’ presence across both domestic and corporate childcare markets - spanning the full range of early years and childcare settings
  • Manage team performance, coaching and development to ensure strong delivery and engagement - leading from the front in creating a positive, high-performing and solutions-focused culture
  • Ensure the Scottish operation is built on robust, compliant and credible foundations
  • Apply a strong understanding of Scottish care compliance requirements and childcare legislation in day-to-day leadership and decision-making
  • Represent Tinies with professionalism, energy and credibility across the Scottish market – acting as a local spokesperson in the media
  • Work closely with the wider business to align regional growth with national objectives, initiatives and campaigns

What we are looking for…

We are seeking a commercially astute and highly motivated leader with a proven track record in recruitment in Scotland. Experience within the early years and childcare sector would be highly advantageous, although we would also welcome candidates from relevant adjacent sectors with transferable expertise. You will be someone with the confidence and capability to build a team, lead people well and create strong foundations for growth. You will bring energy, resilience, and a positive can-do attitude, along with the entrepreneurial spirit needed to shape and grow a regional operation. You will also understand the importance of compliance, credibility and quality in this space, with a sound grasp of Scottish compliance requirements and childcare legislation.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Proven track record of working in recruitment in Scotland
  • Experience within early years and childcare recruitment
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to build, lead and develop teams
  • Experience driving growth, performance and commercial success
  • Strong understanding of Scottish compliance and childcare legislation
  • Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on and delivery-focused
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
  • A genuine can-do attitude and appetite to grow something meaningful

We require the Recruitment Manager to hold one of the following valid qualifications:

  • BA Childhood Practice
  • Graduate Diploma Childhood Practice
  • Postgraduate Diploma Childhood Practice
  • Master of Education Childhood Practice
  • PDA Childhood Practice SCQF level 9
  • BA (Hons) Childhood Practice
  • A Professional Development in Childhood Practice (University of Dundee)
  • Master of Education Childhood Practice (University of Dundee)

The following management qualifications are acceptable, but only with graduation dates before the end of December 2010:

  • BA (Hons) Childhood and Youth Studies (Open University)
  • BA (Hons) Early Years (Open University)
  • BA Childhood Studies
  • BA Early Childhood Studies
  • BA Professional Development (Early Childhood Studies)
