This setting based in Hemel Hempstead is looking to recruit a new member of the team for the Room Leader position.
Position: Room Leader
Hours: 40 to 45 hours per week based on a shift pattern between 7.30am to 6pm
Salary: £24,960 to £27,040 gross per annum
Main duties:
- Promoting high quality childcare: Room Leaders must ensure the environment of the room is highly stimulating. Support good practices around Inclusion, including support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those who use English as an additional language (EAL). Some planning and resource adjustment to meet EYFS guidelines, with consultation from senior management for long-term planning or major changes.
- Communicating with parents, carers, and local authorities: Communicate openly and effectively with parents and carers. Encourage staff to build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing advice and support as needed. Good knowledge of ICT is required.
- Keeping children safe and healthy: Ensure all children are safe and healthy at all times by minimizing risks. Understand all relevant health and safety policies, including safeguarding, emergency, and security procedures, and ensure staff adherence.
- Supervising staff and assigning tasks: Supervise staff, maintain positive relationships, and support their needs. Assign tasks, provide advice, and mentor staff through training. Ensure proper documentation and liaise with senior management for training. Aim for effective teamwork to meet EYFS guidelines smoothly.
