Job description
We are currently hiring for a Nursery Practitioner for our amazing setting in Sidcup (DA15). Our nursery aims to ensure that every child in our care has a nurturing, resourceful environment to achieve their greatest potential emotionally, physically, and mentally for children aged 3 months – 5 years old. We are located an 8-minute walk from Sidcup station and a 4-minute walk from all local bus routes on the high street.
We are looking for a nursery practitioner to join our setting in the toddler room, caring for children aged 2-3 years. Our setting is open from 7:15 am to 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting high-quality care in your room and across the setting
- Planning and utilizing the EYFS and other resources to bring fun and stimulating activities to children
- Meeting observation targets daily and weekly
- Building rapport and communicating effectively with team members, parents/carers, and visitors, including Ofsted and local authorities
- Supporting and mentoring staff where possible
- Being a good role model
Candidate requirements:
- Level 3+ in childcare
- Experience working within a setting
- Ability to manage workload
- Knowledge of Ofsted and EYFS
- Willingness to communicate with parents/carers and governing bodies
