Nursery Practitioner(Level 2&3) needed in BR6 (Orpington) – 40 hours per week (4 days – 7:15-18:15) – £22,840 – £25,000 Annum

Salary: £22,840 – £25,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Location: BR6 (Orpington) – (3 minute walk from Oprington Station)

Hours: Fulltime, 40 Hours Per Week (4 days – 7:15-18:15)

About the nursery:
Opened 2011, the nursery has been judged as \’Good\’ by Ofsted. The nursery\’s experienced staff care for babies aged 3 months to 2 years on first floor, while toddlers (2-3 years) and pre-schoolers (3-5 years) are based on the ground floor.

The nursery is just 500 metres from Orpington Station, with its direct links to London, and on major bus routes – the building has been thoughtfully refurbished. Fully air-conditioned, it features spacious rooms and a lovely garden. As well as a lawn, this features a soft play area and a unique outdoor art room. They have a separate pre-school room with a dedicated IT area and provides both LTA tennis coaching in the summer and Spanish lessons once a week for pre-schoolers. Like our other nurseries, they provide Dance & Movement sessions for children of all ages, all year round.

Candidate Requirements:

– Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification
– Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
– Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
– Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
– Ability to use a variety of techniques to communicate with both children and adults clearly and successfully
– Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
– Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
– Be a team player that can support the Room leader in order to provide a safe learning space for children
