Nursery Nurse (Level 3) RM15 (Ockendon) Monday – Friday – 40 Hours – Shifts between 7am-7pm – Β£

About the nursery:

The aim of our nursery is to provide a happy, homely and loving environment for all children in our care with emphasis on individual attention and learning through play. Our philosophy is that a child should be happy, safe and healthy in a stimulating and educational environment. We aim to work in partnership with all parents to provide a service that will reach their individual needs.

The staff we employ are with us because of their genuine love of children, others are training \’on the job\’ and some have a wealth of experience with children during their life time. All staff are DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service), have references from previous employment and are all trained in Paedatric First Aid. Within our Nursery each age group has a separate area fully equipped with age appropriate toys and staff who have knowledge and love the age group they are working with.

We have a Good Ofsted and was recently inspected in November 2022

Hours: Fulltime, Monday to Friday (40 Hours)

What you\’ll be doing:

  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are always followed
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment on a day-to-Fday basis
  • What we\’re looking for:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to communicate with both children and adults clearly and successfully
