Currently seeking Early Years Apprentices to join our fantastic team at our nursery based in Wallingford.

Training on offer

This role is suitable for those who want to complete a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. You will be observed in the nursery and attend training at our training provider. Level 2 courses take approximately 1 year to complete, while Level 3 courses usually take about 2 years. In addition to the childcare qualification, you will be offered First Aid, Managing Children’s Behavior, and Safeguarding training.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  1. To ensure children are cared for in a happy, secure, and stimulating environment.
  2. To have knowledge, understanding, and confidence in keeping children safe and implementing safeguarding procedures appropriately.
  3. Carry out a key person role, building effective relationships with parents and children, and meeting their individual care and learning needs.
  4. Supervise, observe, encourage, and support children in meeting their personal targets through their interests, ensuring they progress and develop towards school readiness.
  5. To plan, prepare, and deliver the curriculum with the team to meet the requirements of the EYFS.
  6. Establish trusting relationships with parents through partnership, providing daily informative feedback to meet their child\’s needs.
  7. Adhere to all policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
  8. Work as part of a team and with outside agencies to support children\’s needs appropriately.
  9. Undertake our mandatory induction program.
  10. Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and wellbeing.
