The family are preferably seeking a Nanny who is looking to make a long term commitment to the family, however would also be interested in those specialising in Maternity Nanny care (who live locally in the area and can commute to work), who would be interested in support straight after birth. Initially care will involve some nights and helping in the early days for the family. There is a separate bedroom for the and bathroom for nanny on the night shifts supporting in the early days (note: this is not a live in role)
Long term, the family are looking for a Nanny to work from 30 hours a week across full days. This will include all aspects of usual Nanny care. Initially the role will be shared care with the mother, as the father works away at times and is likely to adapt as the mother\βs maternity leave comes to an end in 2025 into more sole charge care.
The ideal Nanny will be caring and personable. They will be well versed in the care of young babies in the home, with an easy going nature. Someone who is sensitive to the needs of new family, and can successfully balance being both supportive and offering advice sensitively, with the understanding of when to allow the parents and baby some space to bond and find their feet. The nanny should be able to act on their own initiative, be proactive and have a good sense of humour
The Nanny will be able to support with light house keeping and meal prep. The family have a medium sized, friendly dog so a Nanny who is happy around animals and in helping with their family pet would be required. The family will require a driver with own car.
This role is not open to junior nannies. You must have excellent prior experience in sole charge nanny roles, with contactable references, to be considered for the post.
