Job description

This lovely setting based in Maldon is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their preschool team. You should have a Level 3 qualification in childcare and previous experience in a similar role.

This is a small but strong setting, with a dedicated team that has been together for many years. The nursery\’s indoor and outdoor environments have recently been upgraded, and we take great pride in the setting. Being a smaller environment allows the nursery to focus on individual progression within the team and strive for Outstanding Quality in care.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources suitable for children\’s age and development stages.
  2. Ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
  3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, promoting these daily in routines.
  4. Perform duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, safety, and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  5. Maintain professional relationships and report concerns to management as per policy.
  6. Implement a strong key person approach to support children’s attachments and cover for colleagues\’ absences.
  7. Attend team meetings to stay updated on policies, priorities, and developments.

Requirements:

  1. Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification – essential.
  2. Over 1 year\’s experience in Early Years – desirable.
  3. Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements.
