Owing to an increase in numbers, a friendly nursery in Bedford (MK41) is currently looking for Early Years Practitioners to join their expanding team. The hours for this Early Years Practitioner role are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week on a shift basis between 8am - 6pm. Part-time hours or job share options can also be considered.
Candidates must have:
- A full and relevant Level 2 / 3 or above qualification in Childcare / Early Years
- A good knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
- Previous nursery and keyworker experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- The ability to work independently
- Paediatric first aid certification (Tinies can assist)
- A clean enhanced DBS
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities
- General childcare duties
- Implementing the EYFS framework and conducting observations
- Supporting a key group of children
- Collaborating with parents and colleagues
- Attending team meetings and training sessions
- Supporting each child's learning and development
- Monitoring and recording children's progress and achievements
