Job description
Qualified Early Years Preschool Practitioner role available in an area of the west-end of Newcastle upon Tyne. The nursery lies to the west of the city centre, and is easily commutable. The position offers an excellent opportunity to join the nursery team on a term time only basis.
The ideal candidate will bring their warmth and kindness to the setting. They will communicate well with children, parents, and colleagues and share a positive, professional approach to caring for children at the preschool. They will be enthusiastic and creative, keen to share ideas, and follow children\’s interests to provide an exciting and enriching learning environment, helping children reach their individual milestones and learn through play.
The setting is looking for a qualified practitioner who holds a full and relevant childcare qualification. Pay is negotiable and depends on previous experience working within early years and level of qualification. They are interested in candidates qualified at level 2 and working towards a level 3 early years educator qualification, as well as those holding an existing Level 3 childcare qualification or higher (such as EYP, EYT, or QTS primary).
The role is to start in May; however, they may support a later start for the right candidate if required due to notice periods. There may also be opportunities to pick up extra hours for those interested in the setting\’s holiday club around the usual opening hours and half terms.
