Early Childhood Educator

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a supportive team in a small nursery with opportunities for growth. You will:

• Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare is prioritised.
• Provide high-quality care for children aged 0–5, supporting their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create an enabling environment where all children can play, learn, and develop.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursery safeguarding procedures to keep children safe.
• Plan and deliver activities tailored to children’s individual stages of development and interests.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and share with parents.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, flexible team environment.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and nursery events as required.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified (NVQ or equivalent).
• Experienced working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
• Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic with a nurturing personality.
• Able to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
• Flexible and willing to support the nursery’s wider needs, including domestic tasks if necessary.
