We are looking for an experienced floor-based Deputy Manager to join a growing team in a family run, private nursery in Thames Ditton.
Responsibilities and Experience
- Has experience in leading a room - this role is floor based
- Has a positive and encouraging approach to managing a diverse staff team
- Has a genuine passion and enjoyment for working with children
- Has a commitment to safeguarding and will support the nursery in its high standard of safety and safeguarding
- Has a friendly personality with a flexible and calm approach
- Has a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Is motivated to manage workload, deadlines and manage time effectively to deliver the desired results
- Ensure the nursery complies with all relevant legislation, plus local authority and OFSTED requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures
- Build positive relationships between children, parents/carers and team members
- Enable the team to provide rich learning opportunities for the children
- Support the development of good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion
- Ensure that staff adhere to nursery policies, objectives and code of conduct
- Promote and maintain the Nursery's reputation for providing exemplary practice
