Overview
To report directly to the marina manager and be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the marina daily as well as involvement in the new and used boat sales.
Responsibilities
- MARINA: Handle berth-holder requirements and requests.
- Receive and respond to mooring enquiries and visiting customers.
- Ensure daily and weekly site inspections are carried out and any subsequent repairs are completed.
- Undertake a weekly register of all craft.
- Assist with ensuring that all boats are invoiced on time and on tariff.
- Attend liaison meetings with the marina manager on a weekly basis.
- Chase any outstanding debt and advise marina manager if further actions are needed (eg. Torts).
- Create and submit monthly reports to the marina manager.
- Support a good H&S ethic throughout the site.
- Work with the marina manager to reach monthly mooring targets.
- Ensure all mooring and visitor enquiries are followed up and recorded on the CRM system.
- Implement and see through maintenance tasks for the estates team.
- Complete any necessary marina management and boat sales training.
- Carry out regular updates of the marina health and safety (eg. COSHH, RAs, Equipment schedules).
- BOAT SALES: Drive forward the new and used boat sales reflecting positive results in end of year budget.
- Actively seek to bring new brokerage boats onto sales from outside the organisation.
- Ensure that correct boat sales procedures are followed from initial listing to sale completion.
- Keep up to date with market values of new and used boats.
- Confidently demonstrate and handover new and used boats to purchasers.
- Liaise with marina manager on a regular basis to ensure targets are being achieved.
- Undertake daily checks of sales craft and sales pontoon to ensure condition is customer ready.
- Ensure the sales listings displays are up to date and frequently checked.
- Work with vendors providing advice to realise best sale price (e.g., pre-sale surveys and valeting).
- Manage and record all new leads onto CRM system.
- Confidently understand the new boat sales process, stock, and prices.
- Promote all new boat brands across the business.
- Complete any necessary boat sales training.
