Due to progressive growth, an opportunity has become available for a 3D CAD Post Graduate to join our team. In this strategically important and challenging role you will be required to:
Role Overview
- Manage complete design projects to strict deadlines and project cost parameters.
- Design individual components, create functional sub-assemblies, and complete fully working product models for our market leading, new and existing hardware ranges.
- Produce high quality manufacturing drawings and all associated technical documents.
- Liaise with customers, site engineers and internal departments.
- Potential off-site visits may also be involved.
- Single shift pattern, Monday β Thursday 0800 β 1630 and Friday 0800 β 1530
The Person
The successful candidate will already understand the processes involved in high-quality, high-volume manufacturing. Applicants should therefore possess the following attributes:
- ONC, HNC or Degree qualification in mechanical engineering and/or product design.
- Well versed in manufacturing processes such as casting, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and finishing.
- Proficient with AutoCAD / Inventor / Vault software platforms and have good general telephone and computer skills.
- Experienced in working to strict project deadlines and within agreed project cost parameters.
- Focused on delivering market leading product quality, performance, and reliability.
- Team player with good communication skills and a \βCan Do\β attitude.
- Must be smart and well presented.
- You will be naturally results focused, enthusiastic, reliable, trustworthy and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be flexible in approach, willing take on other tasks and be responsive to changing demands and situations.
