- Early Years & Childcare Apprenticeship Skills Coach
- £28k – £34k Permanent Full Time
Traveling to meet learners at Nurseries around South Yorkshire.
Requirements: Access to a car, full driving licence; all travel expenses paid.
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas and birthday off, CPD, healthcare, vouchers, team events, progression opportunities, long service awards (extra annual leave depending on length of service), vouchers for colleagues celebrating work anniversaries, early finish Fridays, ability to buy up to 5 days annual leave and sell up to 3.
Qualifications: Level 3 AET & CAVA. Unqualified skills coaches may be considered if willing to complete these qualifications during onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Teach, coach and support learners on apprenticeship programmes.
- Ensure delivery of the apprenticeship standards, knowledge, skills, and behaviors throughout the learner journey.
- Conduct regular teaching and learning visits to ensure continuous development, progression and achievement.
- Deliver and facilitate teaching and learning following the agreed learning journey and pathway.
- Support learners in obtaining English, Maths, and ICT functional skills at level 2.
- Complete required visits and reviews per apprentice, meeting quality and funding requirements.
- Engage the learner’s line manager to provide adequate support and guidance.
- Coach learners to collect required evidence and achieve milestones for EPA or framework completion.
- Monitor and review learners’ welfare, take action to reduce early leavers, maintain caseload levels.
- Carry out enrichment activities around Prevent, Safeguarding and British Values.
