This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector.
The successful applicant will be working with the Study Programme and Skills for Life Teams, delivering maths sessions to Study Programme learners at the Accrington, Oldham and Bury centres from Entry Level to Levels 1 and 2.
To provide additional support in maths to Study Programme learners to enable them to achieve the Functional Skills Maths qualification.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Maths sessions for learners working towards all levels of Functional Skills Maths.
Make reasonably practicable efforts to remove any barriers to learning which are affecting the learner’s progress.
Enable learners to develop their maths skills by ensuring that all work is marked and constructive feedback is given.
The role will require high quality teaching, support, planning, monitoring and formal reviewing of the learner’s progress from the start through to the final assessment. Resources are provided however the team encourage use of own materials/resources as well

We need you to have:
A recognised teaching qualification eg CertEd, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS and ideally a Level 4/5 Subject Specialism in maths with previous experience of delivering maths up to level 2. Ideally with knowledge and understanding of the Functional Skills Subject Content. Excellent communication skills. Passionate about maths and supporting learners to progress.
