Youth Engagement Officer to start in July. £24,700 - £26,700 dep plus excellent benefits including 30 days holidays plus bank holidays, pension, laptop, mobile, 35 hour week 4.30pm finish, employee ownership and much more. Covering Newport and Torfaen County.

We are looking for a Youth Engagement Officer to source new learners for our clients Job Growth Wales+ programmes outside the Work Wales referral channel. We are looking for candidates who enjoy establishing relationships with a variety of youth organisations such as European social funded projects, schools, voluntary sector programmes and community-based facilities to attract new learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage and recruit new learners to Itec Jobs Growth Wales + programme
  • Using a variety of sales, business development and marketing techniques to attract new learners
  • Working to key performance indicators
  • Establish new business and maximise existing business partnerships for learner opportunities
  • Play an active part in the selling and endorsement of all Itec training products and services to attract new learners
  • New learner generation, including sales calls, external networking events, digital activities and working within the community to engage with potential learners
  • Building effective relationships with local schools and other relevant community-based venues to attract new learners
  • Liaising with 3rd party organisations, partnership companies, charities, voluntary and educational networks as required
  • Arranging and attending promotional events to attract new learners and to raise the profile of the organisation as required
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring the best image of Itec is always promoted
  • Build strategic relationships with Centre Leads and Learner Coaches to ensure a seamless transition of new learners onto programme
