- Vocational Trainer/Assessor experienced in delivering employability courses.
- One of the qualifications you will deliver is: NCFE Level 1 Award in Employability Skills – Preparation for Life and Work.
- Start date: as soon as Prison security clearance is received.
- Location: HMP Humber, East Riding of Yorkshire.
- Hours: 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Thursday (no Friday work).
- Salary: £30k+ pro-rata for 4 days.
- Permanent position.

The Role
As a Vocational Assessor, you will guide and assess learners through the NCFE Level 1 Award in Employability Skills, helping them build confidence and improve their employment prospects. Cohorts typically consist of 5-6 learners.

This role requires enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, and target-focused individuals who are committed to making a difference. All applicants must be prepared for prison security clearance.
Your responsibilities include delivering a high-quality vocational curriculum, maintaining accurate learner records in line with GDPR and policies, managing a caseload of learners, and ensuring timely progress and assessments. You will also monitor attendance and progress through regular reviews, adapting delivery to meet learners\’ needs and overcoming barriers to learning.
Requirements include holding a recognised Assessor Award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, or TAQA), experience managing employability learners preferred, good IT skills, flexibility to work at other locations, a full driving license, and insured vehicle for business use.
