Construction Learning Coach in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday, up to £34,250 (including car allowance). 34 days holidays (including bank holidays), rising to 43 after year 5, support, CPD, induction, IT Kit, eye tests, long service rewards, wellbeing initiatives, birthday off, progression opportunities and much more.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Multi Skills Learning Coach to join their dynamic Construction Learning & Development Team! This role gives you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of apprentices and the organisations they support. You will need to have up-to-date knowledge with Health and Safety regulations in line with the building safety industry standards. Working as a learning coach with 16 to 21-year-olds delivering the new foundation apprenticeship in onsite trades. Expectations are to deliver basic brick, carpentry, and plastering skills to learners that meet the foundation apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviours. To go out to employers and support the apprentices at work and help them to settle into their first job role. This is your chance to make a real impact by guiding learners through their Foundation Apprenticeship and helping them thrive.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coach and inspire apprentices to develop the technical knowledge and skills needed for success in construction roles.
  • Manage and teach a caseload of Level 2 learners on Foundation Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Deliver engaging lessons on basic Brickwork, Plastering, and Carpentry and Joinery skills (i.e. mixing cement, cutting techniques, tool management etc.) to classes of approximately 10 students.
  • Mark assignments and apprenticeship tasks to ensure quality and progress.
  • Observe practice and provide constructive feedback to drive growth.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in construction or related trades.
  • Up-to-date industry knowledge.
  • Required Knowledge:
  • Health and Safety regulations.
  • Construction techniques of Brickwork, Plastering, and Carpentry and Joinery.
  • Industry standards and regulations.
  • Onsite trades materials and components.
  • Previous teaching experience in multi-skills/construction.
  • Hold (or be willing to work towards) relevant teaching qualification.
  • A genuine passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver high-quality teaching/coaching.
  • Desirable:
    • Coaching or Assessor qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33).
    • Knowledge of government-funded training and apprenticeship standards.
