Are you an experienced Pensions professional looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy coaching, mentoring and helping others develop their careers? Our client is looking for a Pensions Skills Development Tutor to support the next generation of Pensions professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Pensions industry experience, particularly in Pensions Administration, who would like to move into a coaching and mentoring role. You don't need previous formal teaching experience. If you have experience of coaching, mentoring or training colleagues, our client will support you in developing the skills required to become an effective Pensions Skills Development Tutor.
The Role
- Support apprentices working across a range of employers, helping them develop their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) through their day-to-day work and supporting them towards the Award in Pensions Essentials.
- Manage a caseload of learners, supporting progression, achievement and repeat business.
- Plan and deliver engaging face-to-face and blended digital learning programmes.
- Develop learning materials that build learners' knowledge and understanding of the Pensions industry.
- Mark and provide constructive feedback on learner work, setting clear actions for progression.
- Track learner progress against Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) and identify potential risks to timely achievement.
- Maintain accurate learner records and work towards agreed KPIs.
- Undertake and record relevant industry and pedagogical CPD.
- Ensure appropriate learner risk assessments are completed and reviewed.
- Contribute to internal quality assurance and the team's continuing professional development.
About You
- Significant number of years Pensions industry experience (essential).
- Experience in Pensions Administration or a related Pensions role.
- Experience of coaching, mentoring or training colleagues.
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners using real-life Pensions industry experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively and manage a learner caseload.
- Confidence using digital systems, eLearning platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Good IT skills, including spreadsheets, email, diary management and computerised management information systems.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Pensions industry and relevant professional qualifications where appropriate.
