Our client is a successful and growing Awarding Organisation and End-Point Assessment Organisation seeking a Director of Quality & Product Development to lead the strategic and operational management of product development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Benefits include 25 days holiday plus gifted 3 days between Christmas and New Year, rising to 31 after 5 years service plus bank holidays, 10% pension contribution, flexible working, 55p per mile.
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the development, review and quality assurance of qualifications, apprenticeship assessments and associated products, ensuring full compliance with Ofqual Conditions of Recognition and other regulatory requirements. You will oversee product design, standardisation, moderation, internal audits, centre quality assurance and continuous improvement activities, while leading and developing a high-performing team.
A key part of the role will be driving innovation and identifying opportunities to utilise technology and AI to enhance quality, efficiency and product development processes.
- Significant experience in qualification, curriculum or assessment product development.
- Strong quality assurance, compliance and audit experience.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- A teaching qualification and assessment/quality assurance qualification.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead the product team in designing and writing qualification and apprenticeship products and assessments.
- Oversee all stages of product design and development.
- Testing products with employers, providers, and other stakeholders ready for go live.
- Ensure all products meet all quality assurance and Ofqual requirements.
- Lead and manage the product and quality review, standardisation, and evaluation process.
- Lead and manage all product/quality standardisation activities.
Innovation and Process Management:
- Refine and develop product processes, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure all products comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maximise the use of technology and AI with product development and quality assurance whilst ensuring all Ofqual regulatory requirements are met.
- Oversee all aspects of effective centre quality management.
- Oversee the effective management of the quality and product development in boxes.
