Our client is looking for a Pensions Skills Development Tutor to support the next generation of Pensions professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Pensions industry experience, particularly in Pensions Administration, who would like to move into a coaching and mentoring role.

You don't need previous formal teaching experience. If you have experience of coaching, mentoring or training colleagues, our client will support you in developing the skills required to become an effective Pensions Skills Development Tutor.

The Role

You will support apprentices working across a range of employers, helping them develop their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) through their day-to-day work and supporting them towards the Award in Pensions Essentials.

The role is predominantly remote, with attendance at the client's Manchester Head Office approximately once per quarter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of learners, supporting progression, achievement and repeat business.
  • Plan and deliver engaging face-to-face and blended digital learning programmes.
  • Develop learning materials that build learners' knowledge and understanding of the Pensions industry.
  • Mark and provide constructive feedback on learner work, setting clear actions for progression.
  • Track learner progress against Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) and identify potential risks to timely achievement.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and work towards agreed KPIs.
  • Undertake and record relevant industry and pedagogical CPD.
  • Ensure appropriate learner risk assessments are completed and reviewed.
  • Contribute to internal quality assurance and the team's continuing professional development.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Significant number of years Pensions industry experience (essential).
  • Has experience in Pensions Administration or a related Pensions role.
  • Has experience of coaching, mentoring or training colleagues.
  • Can motivate and inspire learners using real-life Pensions industry experience.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can plan and organise workload effectively and manage a learner caseload.
  • Is confident using digital systems, eLearning platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Has good IT skills, including spreadsheets, email, diary management and computerised management information systems.
  • Has up-to-date knowledge of the Pensions industry and relevant professional qualifications where appropriate.

Why Join?

Our client is one of the UK's largest providers of skills and training, supporting businesses and individuals through apprenticeships, higher education and commercial training.

Benefits include:

  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
  • Option to purchase up to 10 additional days' annual leave.
  • 2 paid Volunteer2Day days each year.
  • Sabbatical opportunities.
  • Employee recognition schemes.
  • Discounts and cashback offers.
  • Enhanced employer pension contributions.
  • Eye tests and contribution towards glasses.
  • Discounted private medical insurance and healthcare cash plans.
  • Private health checks.
  • Wellbeing support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pensions professional to share your knowledge, develop your coaching skills and help shape the careers of future Pensions experts.
