The Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) to join a growing, people-focused firm. You’ll play a senior role within the practice, taking ownership of a varied client portfolio, reviewing work prepared by colleagues, and providing high-quality technical and advisory input. You’ll also act as a mentor to junior team members and contribute to the continued development of the firm’s strong client relationships and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review year-end accounts and working papers prepared by colleagues, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and nurture your own client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships and providing sound commercial advice.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters and FRS 102 reporting.
- Supervise and develop junior staff through regular feedback and coaching.
- Identify opportunities to add value for clients and contribute to the firm’s advisory offering.
- Work collaboratively with Partners and the wider management team to maintain service excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in practice.
- Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP and statutory reporting.
- Proven track record of reviewing accounts and managing client portfolios.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
