Build your career on real transatlantic client work, backed by proper training
If you're looking to develop into a well-rounded US/UK tax professional, not just process returns but genuinely understand cross-border tax, this role gives you structured training, direct partner exposure, and a growing, dynamic client base to learn on.
Why this firm
This is a top 20 UK accountancy and advisory firm, part of a wider international network that gives real substance to its US/UK specialism. It has grown consistently over recent years and continues to invest in its people, including a structured internal training programme covering all key tax concepts, ongoing on-the-job development, and direct exposure to the partner leading the team, not just a manager layer between you and the senior expertise. The firm has also been independently and repeatedly recognised for its workplace culture and inclusion initiatives, and employee satisfaction, measured externally and not just by internal survey, sits well above the industry average, with the large majority of staff saying they'd recommend working there. For someone early in their US/UK tax career, that combination of proper training, senior access and genuine progression is hard to find.
About the role
You'll prepare US and UK tax returns for a portfolio of transatlantic clients, working under the guidance of a line manager while steadily building your own technical judgement and client-facing skills.
Over time, you'll be expected to:
Develop a solid understanding of the full tax return preparation process
Sense-check clients' tax positions and confidently discuss outcomes with your reviewer
Work to prevent double taxation, correctly sourcing income and claiming foreign tax credits
Identify tax filing requirements arising from US ownership of non-US entities (and vice versa)
Self-review your work before it goes to a manager, and flag missing information or emerging issues proactively
About you
Some experience in US/UK tax return preparation, ideally as an Associate or Senior Associate
Genuinely interested in developing a specialism in transatlantic tax; this isn't a generalist compliance role
Detail-focused, with the confidence to ask questions and flag issues rather than ...
