About Us Timloc Building Products is a British manufacturer supplying merchant customers for over 60 years. We manufacture and supply sustainable building products from ground level right up to the roof ridge, from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Howden, East Yorkshire offering our merchant customers a broad product portfolio supported by industry leading next day service. The Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Manager. This very hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Supporting the Supply Chain Director manage a growing, high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility, previous significant experience managing and working in a similar manufacturing environment is essential. Requires excellent people management skills and understanding of maintenance activities. Responsible for approximately 30 employees, including injection moulding, vacuum forming, band saw and assembly areas, the role will include: * Lead and motivate the manufacturing team of 30 personnel to deliver production plans in a timely and cost-effective manner * Achieve and monitor production KPIs, taking proactive action where needed * Liaise daily with the Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure 100% OTIF (On Time In Full) is maintained * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and promote a safety-first culture * Deliver training on safe systems of work, SOPs, and risk assessments * Ensure the housekeeping of all production areas including machines remains exceptional. * Manage team performance, training, cross-skilling, and development * Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure maximum machine availability and zero breakdowns * Update production trackers against production plans and proactively react to deviations * Manage absenteeism, recruitment, overtime, holidays, and arrange shift cover supported by the HR Manager. * Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing * Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities What you\’ll need to succeed You will have proven experience as a Production Manager in a fast-moving manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of health and safety standards and regulatory compliance. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Proactive and positive “can-do” attitude with a results driven approach * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively * Must be a team player * Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety compliance and best practice * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel We offer: * From £40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus bonus * Hours 7:00am till 3:30pm Monday to Friday * 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays * The opportunity to play a key role in a growing, forward-thinking manufacturing business
