A global organisation are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their site in Weston-Super-Mare. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure high levels of reliability and efficiency across the site. You will be part of a close-knit engineering team that supports continuous improvement, drives equipment reliability, and contributes to a safe and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturing machinery and systems.
- Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Support process improvements and reliability projects across the site.
- Work collaboratively with production and technical teams to achieve performance targets.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records through the site's CMMS system.
- Uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
About You
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3 / HNC / ONC).
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Experience with PLC-controlled machinery, drives, and automated systems (advantageous).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- A positive attitude towards continuous improvement and safe working practices.
