Our team plays a crucial role in keeping Aotearoa connected, and we’re looking for an experienced Company Driver in the South Canterbury area to join us on a fixed term part time agreement for a period of time while we undertake recruitment for a vacant courier run.
About the Role
We are looking for a positive, service-minded person to join our courier delivery team for the South Canterbury area. As a Company Driver, you’ll be out on the road and delivering outstanding customer service each day. An immediate start is available to the right candidate, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a company van safely to ensure efficient collection and delivery of freight
- Provide operational support, including sorting and processing freight at our depot
- Adherence to company health and safety policies and procedures
- Delivering outstanding service to our customers and clients
The ideal applicant will:
- Have a clean, full driver’s license with the ability to drive any type of van – automatic and manual
- Have confident communication skills
- Demonstrate sound geographic knowledge of South Canterbury area
- Previous freight experience is advantageous
- Customer centric approach
- Be a quick learner, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced delivery runs
- Be physically fit – some heavy & repetitive lifting required (up to 25kg)
- Have a can-do attitude – ready to help out wherever needed
