We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Project Coordinator to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of operational projects, service improvements, and new parking products across our airport parking operation.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you will work closely with operational teams, leadership, client departments, and contractors to ensure projects and operational changes are implemented smoothly while maintaining service continuity. Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of operational changes, new products, and service improvement projects.
- Support feasibility assessments, scoping sessions, and operational requirements gathering.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, and action trackers to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and track actions to completion.
- Identify potential risks or delays and escalate issues where required.
- Support operational trials, system testing, and the rollout of new processes or services.
- Coordinate training, briefing materials, and updated documentation such as SOPs.
- Work closely with Health & Safety teams to ensure project risks are identified and mitigated.
- Liaise with client departments, contractors, and operational teams during project delivery and maintenance works.
- Coordinate operational readiness ahead of works, including communications, signage, and site preparation.
- Provide clear updates and summaries to leadership teams and stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player who builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Comfortable working across operational areas and engaging with frontline teams.
- Confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in project coordination, operational planning, or supplier coordination.
- Background in airport operations, travel, hospitality, logistics, or similar environments is beneficial.
- Strong client-facing experience and confidence working with senior stakeholders and contractors.
- Ability to analyse operational data and produce clear reports or insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 is advantageous.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Health & Safety certification preferred.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
