About the Team

This role is a key part of the Times Media Brand Sales Team, responsible for multi-channel sales including papers, digital, podcasts, and magazines. It focuses on growing direct & programmatic video and digital partnership revenues.

Your Role

As digital revenues grow, we seek a strategic, results-driven sales lead with a background in video & digital partnership sales. You will develop strategies, drive video sales, and help launch Times Media’s CTV solutions. Collaborating with editorial teams, you will develop video franchises and align content with sales strategies to increase revenue. You will work closely with senior leaders and support the commercial department with your expertise.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Budget Accountability: Manage video forecasting and budgets across all channels.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and execute video sales strategies.
  • Agency Engagement: Lead business development with agency video teams.
  • Content Promotion & Sponsorships: Promote original video content and sell sponsorships.
  • Video Sales Representation: Act as the internal and external advocate for Times Media video.
  • Agency Upfronts & Stakeholder Influence: Host agency events and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Tailored Video Solutions: Develop custom video solutions for clients.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • Business Development & Account Growth: Build new opportunities and nurture existing accounts.
  • Campaign Ideation & Delivery: Collaborate on campaign development and execution.
  • Industry Insights & Thought Leadership: Stay informed on industry trends and provide insights.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in video advertising sales, especially digital video and programmatic platforms.
  • Proven track record in selling digital video partnerships.
  • Strong network of agency contacts in video and partnership teams.
  • Excellent sales and relationship management skills.
  • Deep industry knowledge of publishing partnerships and video advertising.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • CRM proficiency, preferably with Salesforce.
  • Strategic thinking and brief analysis skills.
  • Passion for news and digital media.
