Data Assistant (Various Languages) – 3 month contract
HYBRID / LOCATION (1 – 2 days/week in our London office)
SALARY: £14/hr
Times Higher Education is hiring proactive Data Assistants for temporary positions from 3 November 2025 to 30 January 2026, fluent in one or more of the specified languages: Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Portuguese, Hindi/ Tamil, Urdu, Thai, Mandarin, Cantonese, Uzbek, Ukrainian, French, Korean, Indonesian, English (native language).
This position involves verifying data from institutions in varied time zones and may require occasional early or late starts for client calls.
The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and a willingness to understand the product and ask questions to ensure the data entered and maintained is in accordance with THE standards.

Candidates who have been successfully screened will be required to attend one of the in-person assessment/interview days on 13th and 14th October 2025 in our Holborn, London office.

Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming data from institutions.
- Maintain records of data validation activities.
- Collaborate with Data Supervisors, Data Editors, Data Operations Manager and Data Delivery Managers to escalate/resolve data issues.
- Meet data validation targets.
- Provide support for data queries and administrative tasks.
- Foster institution engagement in rankings.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints; determining the cause of the query/problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution via phone and email.
- Where required customer service calls will be required to be made to support institution with the data collection cycle.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Go the extra mile to engage customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Required
- Fluent in both written and verbal in language specified on application.
- Professional and clear communication skills in both written and spoken English as well as one of the above languages.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Customer support experience.
- Data entry skills.
- Good IT skills, including Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
