TimePlan Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a well-established and highly supportive alternative provision in Wolverhampton from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, resilient and passionate Teaching Assistant with significant experience working within Alternative Provision (AP) or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) settings. Previous work with challenging behaviour is essential.

The Role

You will work closely with teaching staff to support students with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with pupils, provide targeted support both in and out of the classroom, and contribute to creating a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

We're Looking For:

  • Significant experience working in an Alternative Provision or PRU setting (essential).
  • A proactive, positive and resilient approach.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people who may have experienced challenges in education.
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed both academically and personally.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
