We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming early years setting in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who is committed to delivering high-quality childcare, maintaining excellent standards, and creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5.

Role Overview

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall daily running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding are consistently maintained. You will lead and support a team of practitioners, promote positive outcomes for children, and work closely with parents and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards, EYFS framework, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Support, supervise, and develop nursery staff to deliver high-quality practice.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
  • Monitor and improve teaching, learning, and childcare standards.
  • Manage staffing, rotas, and nursery organisation effectively.
  • Oversee health and safety, safeguarding, and welfare of all children and staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality outcomes for children.

Requirements

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential).
  • Previous experience in a nursery leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for early years education and child development.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
